Welcome 2021
It’s time to say bye-bye to the year 2020 and welcomes to 2021.
That means time to forget many things and leave behind. It is also time to carry forward many things. Things to forget and leave behind are all sadness, sorrow and failures. Carry forward are all good memories, moments which made you happy and learning from mistakes we made.
2020 is full of surprises for most of us. Covid hit us early in the year and later March onwards every equation got changed not just for the business plans but for the life. Many of us suffered from the sickness and few of them lost their loved ones. This is what all about life and reality.
I wanted to choose an image with this message but way difficult for me to translate my feelings and end up selecting images from my one of the winter visit from Zangla, Ladakh.
Kids are the great teachers in this world and they taught me a lot, meet people whom you really do not know without judging them, try to talk with them without any intention of giving or take. I always wonder why radio and kids are almost the same? So what they believe and do is “You can’t stop the future, You can’t rewind the past, The only way to learn the secret of joy is play in the present moment. Most importantly, they don’t bother or care and live in the present. Talk to kids more often, play innocent games with them and see how happy you will be. Yesterday points you towards history; tomorrow is going to be a mystery, so treat today is a gift, which is why we call it the “present“.
Some people put their impression lifetime and those are really impossible to get away from memory. I met this lovely kid in Zangla a small Himalayan village more than a decade back on one of my Chadar Expedition. I was staying at his house for a couple of days.
Playing with kids was really a joy. How innocent they are and make you happy with their curiosity. Playing the game of hiding and seek behind my backpack, suddenly coming out from the back and laugh a lot for nothing but to just seek attention from an unknown like me.
I do not know why? But this little kid “Stenzin” whom I fall in love with made me so happy for those days of stay. It was a time to start my return journey back to Leh. And early in the morning, I did not find him. But, my heart was telling me he is around somewhere, with a heavy heart, I took my backpack and moved out of his house. Finally, I found him at the window with his mom waving me a bye. There are no reasons for me to take his by as goodbye. It was a good and happy movement which I want to have them forever. He is still there in my mind, later I visited Zangla a few more times and always to look for him somehow I could not meet him. Hope to meet him again someday.
Often, we get pulled in different directions and are unable to devote time to ourselves. We do not take out the time to think and reflect. This can leave us dull and tired. A few quiet moments every day are the source of creativity. Silence heals and rejuvenates and gives you depth and stability. Sometime during the day, sit for a few minutes; close your eyes and get into the cave of your heart, eyes closed, and keep the world away.
Feel Grateful, Our love, faith, and belief should be deep-rooted, and then everything else moves on its own. The feeling that “I am blessed” can help us overcome any failure and sadness. Once we realise that we are blessed; then all the complaints and grumbling disappear, all insecurities disappear; you become grateful, contented and peaceful.
Welcome, 2021! Wish you a great new year ahead and hope you have great memories to carry forward and no worries no sorrows.
And yes hope to cross paths someday somewhere middle of nowhere.
